WHEN CAN I RETURN TO WORK AFTER SURGERY? With LASIK, the corrected vision is good the following day after the surgery and many patients may return to work almost immediately. You will need to be seen the first day after surgery to make sure that your eyes are healing well. Unlike LASIK, with the PRK procedure you may want to take a few days off from work, as your vision will be blurry for 3-4 days after surgery while the eye is healing. The opthalmologist will discuss further with you any limitations that may immediately follow PRK surgery.
